Istanbul

Well, not exactly. More like Colliers Wood, SW London. But it’s still worth the trip!

Istanbul is a Turkish inspired restaurant that provides Mediterranean dishes along with Meze, a selection of small dishes. There’s definitely something here for everyone to enjoy, be it the selection of foods and cocktails, to a lovely outdoor shish bar and belly dancing!

It was my 3rd time visiting the restaurant and all 3 visits were for special occasions. On my 2nd visit I was fortunate enough to experience the belly dancing that takes place on Friday and Saturday nights. Unfortunately I don’t have any clips of it, but that’s all the  more of a reason for you to check it out for yourself…

Let’s get down to business. The amount of food we ordered could basically feed a village!

The freshness and flavours of the dishes was just incredible. To say we were stuffed is an understatement! I think my favourite dish was the Hummus Kavurma. The combination of the hummus and lamb pieces with bread was just amazing!

There are also a wide variety of drinks, from cocktails to milkshakes.

Istanbul also have a shisha garden at the back of the restaurant.

The atmosphere in Istanbul is great for a date night meal and would be suitable for all aspects of the Dating Lifecycle.  I will definitely be visiting again soon.
